FAQ

Myth:

"Calories don't matter"

Fact:

If you eat more calories than you burn, you gain weight.
If you burn more calories than you eat, you lose weight.

  • However, in order to burn calories, your body also needs vitamins and minerals.
    • This is why you see some overweight people who will restrict their food and still not lose weight. It’s not because "calories don’t matter". It’s because the person is deficient in some nutrients (due to eating mostly junk food), so their body has a very hard time burning calories.
    • This is why it’s so important to eat some nutrient-rich foods such as vegetables & lentils.
