When single adults outnumber single-person housing units (i.e. [studio, bachelor, one-bedroom] [apartments, condos, houses]).

Effects

  • More people are stuck living with family, roommates, or even exes they don't get along with.
    • Of course some people like such living arrangements, but some don't. The shortage makes other options unaffordable for most people.
