This wiki comes with some unique notation for expressing ideas.

  • Inline expandables
    • A block of text, sometimes in the middle of a sentence(...)( This is an example of an inline expandable! ), to provide important nuances without ruining the flow(...)( or overwhelming the reader with big walls of text upfront ).
  • Popup notes
    • Similar to above, but used in tables or when the note has multiple lines. This is an example of a popup note!
(btw it doesn't have to have multiple lines)
  • Green links
    • These also generate popupsThis is another example..
  • Calculations
    • Math is sometimes needed to illustrate a point. We like to do real-world estimates of things, to see if an idea is viable or not. The equations might look a little cryptic, but you can usually click on different parts to see the numbers and where they came from.
  • Tabs
    • For grouping multiple similar pieces of content.
  • Links that start with the '/' character
    • These are links to subpages of the current page. Subpages are used for deeper analysis, or for focusing on a specific part of the world. (...)( Subpages could even provide alternative versions of the same page ("/alt") in case people have a hard time finding full consensus on what should be on a particular page. )
  • Links that start with the '#' character
    • These are not hashtags. These are links to sections of the current page.

Accessibility

JavaScript is needed for expandables, popups, and calculations. These also don't with screen readers unfortunately - yet.
