Wiki for a better world:Writing style
This is not Wikipedia.
- Not everything has to be formal.
(...)( We highly value logical problem-solving and academic thought. But we try to avoid pedantic intros - they tend to derail conversations and lose the audience. Also, we're not afraid to break grammar rules, if it gets the point across more clearly. ) - Original research is welcome here.
- Things should be straight-to-the-point, and easy to skim through.
(...)( We welcome as much detail & nuance as Wikipedia, but it should be tucked away neatly into expandables and subpages. ) - Not only descriptive, but also perscriptive.
(...)( Unlike other wikis that mostly just "tell it like it is", this wiki is a place to bring together ideas to reach consensus on what could - or even should be. ) - The main purpose is to inform people & organizations how to make the world better.
