How to scale up nuclear power enough to decarbonize energy production?

Things that won't work

• Conventional nuclear power - Uranium-235 is too scarce.
• Small nuclear reactors - Same scarcity, plus greater risk of weapons proliferation.
• Uranium-238 breeder reactors - Abundant fuel, but still a weapons proliferation risk.
• Hydrogen fusion - Will probably be viable in the distant future, but we can't wait around.

Projects needed

• Thorium breeder reactors - Safe reactors that run on very abundant fuel
