Problems to be solved

Main Page

The world has problems. This is a wiki for solutions.

The main theme is how to meet the basic needs of 8 billion people without killing the planet. Other topics are welcome too. We hope to piece together a proper nuanced picture of all the changes that the world needs.

What to expect about the content

  • This is not Wikipedia. This is a place for all forms of discourse, no matter the style (as long as it's honest).
  • You'll see stuff written in simple layman's terms, and then right beside it, all the academic nuances and technical knowledge that it's based on. As a reader, it's up to you to choose your own level of detail.
  • Some pages are well-written; some are half-baked. This is on purpose. Low-quality content is needed to get the ball rolling on making high-quality content.
  • Citations are lacking for now. This will improve in the future.
  • The wiki isn't open to editing yet, but it will be after User:Elie has finished building a basic foundation of content.
  • There is no one single "target audience" - social change has to come from multiple angles. We like to prescribe what governments should do - and what businesses should do - and what ordinary people should do - sometimes all in one paragraph ☺

The main theme is how to meet the basic needs of 8 billion people without killing the planet.
We analyze what could be done,

  • no matter if it involves free markets, leftism, or any other politics
  • no matter if it involves individual or systemic changes
  • the only real constraints are ethics and physics.

We explore what it really takes to build & sustain a better world.
